Refund Policy
We would rather you leave happy than stay unhappy, so this policy is short and errs on the side of refunding.
14-day money-back on your first paid subscription
If VaultKeep isn't what you needed, email support@vaultkeep.dev within 14 days of your first payment for a plan (monthly or yearly) and we will refund it in full. No form, no reason required, although we will ask what didn't work so we can fix it.
This applies once per organization, to the first paid subscription. It does not apply to renewals, or to a second organization created to reset the clock.
After 14 days
- Monthly plans: cancel any time. You keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for, then move to Free. We don't refund the remaining days of a month.
- Yearly plans: cancel any time; the plan runs until the end of the year you paid for. On request we will refund the unused full months minus the discount you received for paying yearly, in other words you pay the monthly price for the months you used and get the rest back. Ask by email.
- Downgrades between paid plans take effect at the end of the current period; the unused time on the higher plan is credited to your next invoice automatically. You see this before you confirm.
- Upgrades are charged immediately for the prorated difference; the exact amount is shown and must be confirmed before your card is charged. Upgrades are not refundable except under the 14-day rule above.
Things we will always refund
- Duplicate charges, or a charge after you cancelled.
- Any period during which the service was unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours because of us; tell us and we credit or refund that time.
- A price change you weren't given 30 days' notice of.
Things we don't refund
- Charges older than 14 days on renewals where the service worked as described.
- Storage or egress costs charged by your own cloud provider for a destination you configured; those are between you and them.
- Fees where the account was suspended for breaking the Terms of Service.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. We can't refund to a different card or account. Taxes charged on the refunded amount are refunded too.
How to ask
Email support@vaultkeep.dev from the organization owner's address with the organization name. We reply within two business days. If you are in the EU or UK, your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies in addition to this policy, and nothing here reduces your consumer rights.
This policy is part of the Terms of Service and may be updated in the same way; the effective date above tells you which version applies.
